Megalodon-Class 3,000-Ton J4 Merchant

A Mongoose 2e design. The Megalodon-Class 3,000-Ton Merchant is J4 capable, but only 300 tons of fuel (J1) is in the main tanks. The other 900 tons of fuel storage are divided into 3 300-ton cargo/fuel containers so that space can be used for cargo when jumping less than 4 parsecs. That makes it much more flexible. It comes with enough fuel processing capability to refine a full load of fuel in two and a half days. 980 tons of cargo on a J4, 1,280 tons on a J3, 1,580 tons on a J2, and 1,880 tons on a J1.

The upper deck is 600 tons and houses the crew areas, equipment the crew needs to access, and all engineering spaces. The middle deck is 1,100 tons and houses cargo. The lower deck is 1,300 and houses fuel and a bit of cargo. Often travels with an owner aboard, so it comes with a High stateroom and the crew includes a steward and an admin to handle all administrative tasks and act as a broker as needed. Comes with an office for the owner, the captain, and the admin, and a workshop for the engineers.
